Pigeon pose

Start kneeling on all fours. Bring one leg forward with your heel fitting into your groin. Stretch the other leg out behind you flat to the floor with toes flat to floor. Breathe in deep and slowly with victorious breath. On the out breath stretch arms out in front flat to floor resting your forehead to the ground. Continue same breathing pattern for at least 5-10 breaths. On an in breath raise your body up,and your back leg from the knee up and stretch arms back to hold your foot which should be parallel to the floor. Keep head straight. Besides being a great stretch I connect to spirit doing this pose from my crown down. Not a stretch to do if muscles are not loose and pliable.

I love this pose too! I usually go into it from a downward dog stretching one leg behind me and then bringing it forward. Thanks for sharing your favorite yoga pose, Jo!!! If you would like to add a photo of you, feel free ;-)
